A Civil Action 1998

Based on a true story, the legal thriller Civil Action follows the events that begin and evolve as an ambitious lawyer engages in what will become his personal battle. Jan Schlichtmann represents eight families against the country's two largest companies. The companies are accused of contaminating the drinking water of Woburn, Massachusetts, and eight children indirectly dying from leukemia. This seemingly simple case sends a young lawyer into a complex legal battle that will change his life.
