Ruth and Alex decide to sell their 40-year-old apartment in New York City and move to a new house with an elevator. While their real estate agent niece (Cynthia Nixon) helps them, the couple will experience days they never expected: unexpected events, flying offers for their house will remind them of some values that have been in the background for years.
