Matt Sullivan's (Josh Hartnett) last relationship ended in disaster and Matt has been in pain ever since. And then comes Lent: the time of year when everyone gives up. And this is the day Matt became the man who didn't finish anything. in his life. He decides to do something that no one has tried before. What he leaves behind is sex. Etc. Touching, kissing, flirting etc. Full 40 days Matt won't do any of the above. At first everything seems to be under his control, but everything changes when Erica (Shennin Sossamon) enters his life. Now that everyone is betting that Matt won't be able to finish what he started, Matt struggles to hold on and hopes Erica can wait too.
