Wolf 1994

Wolf is a different werewolf movie in many ways. Above all, a stellar cast: We follow one of Hollywood's biggest stars of the past four decades, Jack Nicholson, as a book editor who undergoes an eerie transformation after being bitten by a wolf. Veteran actor Christopher Plummer plays the fired boss Randall; Michelle Pfeiffer is the boss's daughter who, despite her father, is initially attracted to Randall and then falls in love with her. Another well-known actor in the cast is James Spader, who has played the sometimes "annoying villain" and sometimes the "passive hero" roles since the '80s - himself playing Randall's nefarious colleague who has been secretly undermining Randall. The script by Jim Harrison and Wesley Stick treats the "worming" process as not only a physical but also a mental change: After being bitten by the initially overly passive Will Randall, Jack Nicholson becomes more assertive, aggressive, arrogant. serves. The writers and director draw upon this approach both horror and corporate suspense and humor, viewing the workplace as a kind of "wild battlefield."
