Max Renn wants to raise his ratings as simply and effectively as possible by broadcasting sex and violent programs on his small television channel. One day, thanks to his assistant, video hacker Harlan, he stumbles upon a pirate publication called Videodrome. The program called "Videodrome" is a very simple and inexpensive series of images of sex, violence and torture set in the same room. Thinking that he has caught a new trend in the television world, Max starts watching these tapes that he downloaded as a pirate and searches for the source of the program. Soon, a series of hallucinations and dark events begin to turn his life into a nightmare. As the line between nightmare and reality blurs, Max finds himself in an adventure that reaches the limits of fantasy.
