An elite FBI agent traverses three continents in pursuit of an American fugitive with classified information about a gruesome conspiracy... FBI agent Roy Clayton (Guy Pearce) investigates a dangerous international conspiracy, all the evidence seems to point to Samir Horne. . (Don Cheadle), former US Special Forces officer. An enigmatic figure with an intricate web of international affairs, Horn is well-suited to show up during an important operation and disappear before the authorities can question him. An interagency team involved in the investigation meets up with Carter (Jeff Daniels), a CIA veteran who seems to have his own agenda, and FBI agent Max Archer (Neal McDonough). An investigative team links illegal activities in Yemen, Nice and London to Horne, but a wealth of conflicting evidence emerges, causing Clayton to question whether his target is a veteran dissident or someone much more sophisticated. Clayton follows Horn around the world as a mysterious ex-soldier descends into a world of mystery and lies.
