The Zone of Interest (2023)

Rudolf Höss, the commandant of Auschwitz, along with his wife Hedwig, were determined to create a perfect life for their family in a beautiful home with a lush garden situated right next to the camp. Despite the atrocities happening just a stone's throw away, they focused on cultivating a sense of normalcy within the confines of their own little sanctuary. As they tended to their flowers and enjoyed family meals together, they tried to shut out the horrors of the outside world. Their determination to shield their loved ones from the harsh reality surrounding them drove them to create a bubble of tranquility amidst the chaos of war.
