The Windmill (1986)
Değirmen
As the twilight of the Ottoman Empire descends, the unassuming Anatolian town of Saripinar is rattled by a tremor. The earthquake inflicts little damage and claims few lives, yet a single telegraph, dispatched to the distant central government, distorts the reality on the ground. Inflated reports declare widespread devastation and, crucially, claim the town's governor lies gravely wounded, transforming a local incident into a matter of national import. The ripples of this fabricated crisis will soon engulf Saripinar, altering its fate and testing the bonds of its community. The stage is set for a compelling drama of miscommunication and its unforeseen consequences.
