The story begins with the easy disapproval of the love that begins between different people from different worlds. Sophia, the daughter of an aristocratic family, falls in love with Eisenheim, the son of a carpenter family. A great love develops between the two. There is such a great love that Eisenheim is forced to leave the country because of the forbidden love. He now decides to travel the world and returns to his country as a magician exactly 15 years later.
