German and Soviet cultures are mixed in this god-forsaken exile village of Kray. They worship the locomotive of the train, sacrificing the forest to its burning mouth. Machines have human names. Two love triangles connect a man and a woman. Until a decorated war hero appears and starts searching for a ghost bike on a nearby island.
