The Big Hit (1998)

Melvin Smiley, a hitman known more for his amiable nature than lethal efficiency, finds himself perpetually outmaneuvered by his unscrupulous associates. When their latest scheme, the abduction of an electronics magnate's daughter, unravels spectacularly, Melvin is predictably left holding the bag. Compounding matters, their captive is also the goddaughter of their notoriously merciless crime boss. Now, amidst a hail of bullets and betrayals, Melvin must desperately conceal his true profession from his blissfully unaware fiancée, Pam.
