The Big Country (1958)

Jim McKay, a man accustomed to the tranquility of the sea and the comfort of wealth, journeys to the untamed Old West. His arrival, however, disrupts the precarious balance of power. He finds himself caught in the crossfire of a bitter land dispute. On one side stands Major Terrill, his prospective father-in-law, a man of established, though perhaps fading, authority.
