Once upon a time in French Guyana, a realm of untamed wonders, Eliott, a young and wide-eyed anthropologist, embarked on a daring expedition to unravel the enigma of the Otopis, an elusive tribe dwelling amidst the mysteries of the Amazon rainforest. Seeking solace from the suffocating clutches of his overbearing mother, Chantal de Bellabre, a controversial and unfeeling ethnologist scorned by her peers, Eliott ventured into the heart of the wilderness. However, as the lush foliage embraced him, he soon discovered that the Otopis were far from the idyllic "noble savages" he had romanticized. This tribe, marred by their vices of alcoholism, violence, and deceit, transformed his once-promising expedition into a harrowing descent into the treacherous depths of the jungle.
