In the movie, Oscar-winning actors like Al Pacino, Christopher Walken and Alan Arkin portray retired gangsters who reunite for one last epic night. Val (Al Pacino) is released from prison after 28 years for refusing to give his partner's name. His best friend Doc (Christopher Walken) comes to pick up Val. They soon meet up with another old friend, Hirsch (Alan Arkin). The bond between them is stronger than ever, and the three friends reflect on the freedom they lost and now regained, their loyalty, and the good times past. Despite their age, their fighting skills are still excellent. However, one of his friends has a dangerous secret. Stuck in a stalemate with an ex-mafia boss, this man has little time to get out of it. After the legendary reunion of old friends, their situation takes a desperate turn and they are finally forced to face their past one last time.
