Aged millionaire writer Andrew Wyke (Michael Caine), best known for his best-selling detective novels, is alone in his luxury high-tech mansion on the outskirts of town. His wife, Maggie, left him for a young, unemployed actor named Milo Tindle (Jude Law). Milo Tindle, a young, smart and ambitious man, comes to the mansion at Andrew Wyke's invitation. Tindle's goal is to convince Vayk to sign the divorce papers as soon as possible. However, Vayk intends to play games with his wife's new girlfriend. A fierce struggle begins between them, in which minds collide.
