Scarborough tells the story of three intertwined families who struggle hard against debt, addiction and job insecurity. Bing, who lives in the shadow of her father's mental illness, Sylvie, a local girl struggling to find permanent housing for her family, and Laura, who is battling an illness, are children living in a low-income neighborhood. As they try to overcome the difficulties they experience with their families, they draw strength from each other.
