Mavili (Blue), a pet parrot that has never learned to fly, lives a comfortable life in Moose Lake, Minnesota, with its owner and best friend, Linda. Thinking that Mavili is the last of the macaw species until that day, the duo set out on a journey to this far exotic land when they learn that a female macaw lives in Rio de Janeiro. Kidnapped by a few inept pet traders shortly after arriving in Rio, Blue and Wonderful are rescued from the traders by a group of Rioni birds. With the support of her new friends, it's time for Mavili to find a way to get back to her best friend, Linda, as she tries to stand up to the animal traders, learn to fly and muster up her courage...
