Rabbit-Proof Fence 2002

A WONDERFUL REAL STORY WITH PETER GABRIEL'S MUSIC... Adapted from the life of Australian black Molly Craig, the movie takes place in Australia in the early 1930s. By the government's decision, all mixed children in the country (children born from the marriage of a white man and a native) were selected from families and raised in special camps and prepared for the service of whites. Molly, 14, and her 8-year-old sister and 10-year-old cousins were just three of these children. Children who are forcibly taken from their families are taken to the training camp, which is 2,000 km away. However, children who cannot accept separation from their mothers run away at the first opportunity. On their way back, they have to cross a 2,000-mile desert and are chased by a ruthless native who knows how to track. The rabbit fence, which gave its name to the movie, is the name given to the world's longest fence that covers the entire Australian continent and was built to keep rabbits out of farmland. Children who know only one fence in the vastness of the world think that they can take advantage of this fence on their way home.
