Mrs. Miniver (1942)

Kay Miniver, a woman comfortably nestled in middle-class domesticity, finds her tranquil existence subtly disrupted by life’s small ironies. As she and her husband, Clem, observe their Oxford-educated son, Vin, pursue the captivating Carol Beldon, granddaughter to the formidable Lady Beldon, a portrait of entrenched aristocracy emerges. Their idyllic world, however, is irrevocably shattered when war descends, compelling Vin to answer the call of duty and enlist in the Royal Air Force. The shadow of conflict looms large, threatening to engulf their lives and test the bonds of family and community. Their fortitude will be tested by the trials of war.
