Mimic 2 (2001)

Detective Klaski, haunted by a series of gruesome murders, finds himself plunged into a macabre investigation. The victims, each mutilated beyond recognition, lead him to Remy, a brilliant entomologist harboring secrets of her own. Klaski soon uncovers a terrifying truth: Remy is the prey of a colossal, shape-shifting insect. This monstrous being, driven by a ravenous hunger, plots a terrifying metamorphosis of New York, threatening to consume the city whole.
