Lost Command (1966)
In the aftermath of his liberation from a Vietnamese prison, French Lieutenant Colonel Pierre Raspeguy finds himself deployed to Algeria, tasked with quelling burgeoning resistance. He enlists the aid of Captain Esclavier, a man disillusioned by conflict, and the zealot Captain Boisfeuras.
Together, they embark on transforming a disparate group of soldiers into a cohesive and formidable fighting force. Driven by ambition, Raspeguy is fueled by the tantalizing prospect of a general's rank, and the promise of marriage to a captivating countess, should he succeed. This dangerous pursuit will test them all.
