His deep nostalgia for Ohio school—restaurants, dorm rooms, parties, and poetry workshops—makes him feel like his best days are behind him. When her favorite professor (Richard Jenkins) invites her to campus to speak at a retirement dinner, Jesse quickly accepts the offer. Meeting Zibby (Elizabeth Olsen), sophomore and classical music lover, inspires Jessie with a sense of empowerment and commitment she hasn't felt in a long time.
