A young couple (Patrick Wilson and Kerry Washington) have just moved into their dream home; However, their lives are about to turn into a nightmare because of their next-door neighbors who do not approve of their relationship because one is black and the other is white. Their neighbor, the police officer (Samuel L. Jackson) has declared himself the overseer of the neighborhood, and his nightly checks and irritating looks are pleasing to some residents; however, it has begun to disturb the new movers more and more day by day. These abusive actions into their lives force the young couple to fight.
