Haunted by a past at sea, Fikret seeks solace in an Istanbul church, exploiting its sanctuary while the priest is away. He secretly sells valuable wines and occupies the priest’s quarters. Fikret’s days are consumed by gambling and mentoring Asim, a carwash worker who views him as a father figure.
