In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale 2007
The life of a man known as Farmer (Jason Statham) is turned upside down when a Krug gang loot his village (Stonebridge), kill his son and kidnap his wife (Calire Forlani). This once peaceful man drags his mentor Norik (Ron Perlman) and son-in-law Bastian (Will Sanderson) behind the Krug Gang to save his wife, Solona. As the Circle plunders the countryside, the royal mage Merik discovers the true power behind them: his old rival, the powerful and ruthless wizard Gallian (Ray Liotta). He plans to overthrow King Conreid (Burt Reynolds) with a Gallic army and replace him with his puppet, the Duke of Fallow (Matthew Lillard). As the royal army advances to face the Circle, Farmer and his friends advance undetected through the passes of Mount Ekhb. A night raid on the Circle camp ends tragically: Norik and Bastian are captured, and Farmer barely saves his life. In desperation, the farmer joins the king's army to save his friends and wife. His extraordinary heroic acts catch the attention of Gallian and Meriç, who suspect the man is more than just a simple farmer. In the final showdown, Eb's fate rests with the Farmer, who either defeats the Gallian or lets the evil sorcerer take over all the lands.
