Hero (1992)

Bernie Laplante's life is a tapestry of misfortune. Grappling with a bitter divorce and estrangement from his son, he finds himself ensnared in a police sting. Fate, however, deals a bizarre hand when he heroically rescues passengers from a fiery plane crash, losing a shoe in the process.
