Ford v. Ferrari is about the true story of the Le Mans 24 Hour Race held in 1966. The duo Henry Ford II and Lee Iacocca ask a strange but determined group of American engineers and designers to build a car from scratch. Leaded by automotive visionary Carroll Shelby (Matt Damon) and British driver Ken Miles (Christian Bale), the team sets out to defeat Ferrari, who has dominated the tracks for many years, at the 1966 Le Mans World Championship in France.
