Clint Eastwood, who has been involved in many unforgettable productions such as Unforgiven and Million Dollar Baby, has tremendous success in the directing business as well as in the acting business. The production titled Flags of Our Fathers, whose entire story was written by William Broyles Jr., was screened in Turkish cinemas on November 8, 2006, and was well received with elements such as war, history and drama. We also see Paul Walker, whose name is known to the whole world with Barry Pepper, Fast and Furious 1, which we saw in the movie Saving Private Ryan with Ryan Phillippe and Joseph Cross as the leading actors. With 132 minutes, that is, more than 2 and a half hours of viewing, the film, which tells the audience the dramatic face of the historical perspective, was shot in America and cost 55 million dollars. From the moment it was screened until it was released from the theaters, it managed to earn a total of 70 million dollars. In our film, which depicts the face of a brutal war that took place in 1945 with all its reality, we follow the efforts of the American army to regain their lands after the Japanese capture of the island of Iwo Jima. When they finally capture the island, a few soldiers raise the flags of victory at the top of the mountain, and they all return home as heroes. After returning home, each of them starts to conflict with themselves and enters into conflicting and complex emotions. The film, which tries to convey everything about life to us with all its nakedness with its emotionally charged scenes, was adapted to the cinema based on the writings of James Brandley, one of the survivors of this war.
