In the early 1980s, at the height of the Cold War, KGB officer Grigoriev, disgusted with the Soviet political position, decided to flee and break out of the system. In fact, he has information that will allow him to escape to the West. He doesn't hesitate to use them either. With a sense of paranoia and a Big Brother atmosphere, tensions rise in Moscow and, with the help of a French engineer, he unwittingly plays a role in a historical event that is the collapse of the Eastern Bloc.
