Eyewitness (1981)

Daryll Deever, a New York City custodian and ardent admirer of local news reporter Tony Sokolow, finds himself drawn into her orbit when a murder investigation lands at his workplace. Sensing an opportunity, Daryll insinuates himself into Tony’s investigation, hoping to forge a connection. However, his charade soon attracts unwanted attention. Those responsible for the crime begin to believe Daryll possesses genuine knowledge, placing both him and Tony squarely in the crosshairs, threatening to expose deadly secrets. Their pursuit of the truth becomes a perilous game of cat and mouse.
