David Kepes, a college professor who left his wife and son years ago and was never able to forgive him, regularly engages in a relationship with a woman named Caroline every month. In fact, both their ages and personalities are very suitable for each other. However, David falls in love with Consuela, who admires him, and they begin a long relationship. However, David's old age complex gives rise to unwanted thoughts. He thinks Consuela will leave him for someone younger, and David is hesitant to meet Consuela's family because of his age. These thoughts destroy the relationship between them.
