Sevim has been a dedicated house cleaner for Ayten for many years, taking on an organizing role within the household. She also provides financial support to her daughter Demet and son-in-law Sermet. When Ayten's Kosovian helper Lena gets into an accident, it leads to legal complications between the involved parties. Ayten pressures Sevim to persuade Lena to drop the issue. As Sevim works diligently to resolve Lena's problem in Ayten's favor, she finds herself grappling with moral dilemmas, ethical conflicts, and issues of social class.
