IMDb 6.3 Genre: Drama, Romance, Western Duration: ‎1h 34m Country: USA Director: Raoul Walsh
When Texan transplant Bob Seton arrives in Lawrence, Kansas, he is immediately drawn to the charm of the town, particularly Mary McCloud, the daughter of the local banker. However, amidst the welcoming atmosphere, there is an underlying tension brewing in the political landscape. As the civil war looms in the not-so-distant future, the divide over slavery in the Territory becomes more pronounced.

When the opportunity arises for Seton to run for marshal, he finds himself pitted against William Cantrell, a seemingly upstanding local schoolteacher. Little does Seton know, Cantrell harbors dangerous ambitions and is willing to go to extreme lengths to carve out his place in the Territory. As Cantrell loses the election, he takes matters into his own hands by forming a group of raiders who wreak havoc by smuggling guns and terrorizing settlers.

As tensions escalate, Cantrell and his raiders don Confederate uniforms, posing a serious threat to the peace and security of Lawrence. It falls upon Seton and the courageous citizens of Lawrence to stand up against Cantrell and his ruthless gang in a final showdown for justice and freedom.
