Owen Matthews continues his education at Westlake Prep after breaking the rules and making a mess in his senior school. Owen immediately joins an unofficial club of liars, which includes both the beautiful and experienced Dodger and the chatty and radiant Tom. Owen and his new friends create a murderer named Kurt, who has recently committed murder and plans to repeat it, and pushes the boundaries of campus by spreading the rumor throughout the school. According to the group's statement, Kurt tends to target people who know each other very well. When Rich Walker (Jon Bon Jovi), a high school journalism teacher, exposes the atrocities lurking on the Internet for his group, Owen is encouraged to spread his fabricated stories online. Detected victims suddenly begin to disappear. Owen, Dodger and Tom can no longer tell where lies end and truth begins. The game becomes frighteningly real when the players themselves start hunting someone or something.
