The Crimson Tide, where Tony Scott first crossed paths with his favorite actor, Denzel Washington, allowed Scott to shine in a genre he had never tried before. Although Crimson Tide may seem like one of the submarine movies made in the 90s, it stands out from its peers with Scott's action and tension even in a narrow space. The action takes place in the post-Cold War era. The story describes a nuclear missile crisis between Russian rebels and American sailors. Besides Gene Hackman and Denzel Washington in the lead roles, today we also see popular actors in supporting roles.
