Convenience Store (2022)

On the fringes of Moscow, Mukhabbat, an Uzbek immigrant, ekes out a precarious existence in a convenience store. Exploited alongside her fellow immigrants, she faces relentless mental and physical abuse, laboring without compensation. But beneath the weight of her fear, a spark of defiance ignites. A day arrives when Mukhabbat confronts her oppressors, seizing control of her destiny. Her courageous act sets in motion a chain of events that will irrevocably alter the lives of those around her, proving that even in the darkest corners, resistance can take root.
