Ti (Chow) works tirelessly to provide a better life for his son Dicky (Xu Jian). Dicky can't get along with his classmates; because he wears shabby clothes and does not have state-of-the-art electronics. One night, while searching for a toy for her son in the dumpster, Ti finds a mysterious orb. When he brings it home for Dicky to play, the orb transforms into a creature with mysterious powers.
