117 AD ... The Roman Empire expanded from Egypt to Spain and east to the Black Sea. In northern Britain, however, the conquests were stopped by the Picts, who, thanks to their guerrilla tactics, had become an invincible enemy. The movie takes place during the Roman occupation of England. The film tells the story of a man named Quintus Dias, the last survivor of a Pictish attack. Joining General Virilus' legendary 9th Legion, the young man embarks on a journey north with his army to destroy the Pictish race and their leader, Gorlakon.
