Tom Jeffords is another American soldier. He wants the war between Whites and Apaches to end and for the two cultures to live freely in their own lands. With this in mind, he saves the life of an Apache youth, and when he discovers a sense of justice among Apaches, he encourages the Indians to expel the first man on earth. Meanwhile, he gets to know Apache culture better and is even disillusioned with the local one.
