Black Gold (2011)

In 1930s Arabia, a tense standoff unfolds between two rival leaders. Victorious Emir Nesib of Hobeika dictates peace terms to Sultan Amar of Salmaah. They agree that neither will claim the disputed Yellow Belt. As a guarantee, Amar's sons, Saleeh and Auda, are taken under Nesib's care. Twelve years later, the boys mature into different paths—Saleeh, a restless warrior, yearns for home, while Auda immerses himself in scholarly pursuits. When an American reveals oil beneath the Yellow Belt, Nesib envisions a prosperous future. Yet, this coveted treasure lies at the heart of their fragile treaty.
