Joe (Nicolas Cage) lands in the Thai capital of Bangkok to kill four enemies of ruthless crime boss Surat. Since he doesn't know the country at all, he makes a deal with a swindler named Kong (Shahkrit Yamnarm) to help and guide him. After he's done his job, he plans to kill her too and destroy all traces. Oddly enough, Joe, a total lone wolf, becomes the young man's mentor and slowly falls in love with a deaf-mute girl who works at a local store. Trying to navigate the stunning beauty of Bangkok, Joe begins to question his own existence.
