Among the Wolves; It tells the life of 7-year-old Marcos, given by his father to a rich landlord in exchange for a loan. After Marcos is given to the landlord by his father in return for a loan saying "the flesh is yours, the bone is mine", he is sent by the landlord to a desolate mountain head in charge of the landlord's goats. Some time after Marcos started to take care of the goats, old Atanasio, with whom he had a common fate, died in the cave on the mountain. Marcos is now alone at the top of the desolate mountain. There is no one around him but himself…except hungry wolves.
