Jack Gram, a prominent psychiatrist and university professor working in the Seattle courthouse, was responsible for the conviction of serial killer Jon Foster by influencing the jury on the death penalty. Serial killer Jon Foster accused Jack Gram of manipulating witnesses to deceive them and using the witness's sister to testify against him. The night before Jon carries out his sentence, Jack receives a call. The murder search is said to last only 88 minutes. Whoever sent this message is killing women like Jon Foster. Jack joins his ex-wife, FBI agent Shirley Barnes, his friend Frank Parks, and his assistant, Kim Cummings, to find the troubled student and their plans to kill him on a college campus.
