Gloria, a young woman who is recently widowed, gathers with her family for Christmas, including her elderly grandfather, Bud. During this time, they befriend a mysterious reindeer. Bud names the reindeer Prancer and begins to believe that it is actually magical. However, Gloria worries that this theory could potentially send him to a nursing home.
