As Narvel works meticulously in the Gracewood Gardens botanical garden, he develops a close relationship with wealthy landowner Ms. Norma Haverhill. However, at Norma's request, Narvel begins to apprentice to his restless and aimless relative Maya, which turns Narvel's order upside down. In the process, Narvel's dark past and embarrassing secrets are also revealed. "Master Gardener" is the third in the "Lonely Man in a Room" series of Paul Schroeder's previous films, and it takes the weight of past mistakes. Master director Paul Schroeder won the Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement at the Venice Film Festival for his 50-year film career and bold work.
